Supporting Creativity and Innovation
At SmartThink, we believe that creativity is the fuel that powers innovation. While technology provides the infrastructure for growth, it’s creative thinking — daring, curious, unconstrained — that drives meaningful breakthroughs. That’s why we proudly support The Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences, a nonprofit committed to nurturing the minds that shape what’s next.
For more than 80 years, Hambidge has been a haven for creative exploration. Its 600-acre sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia offers a rare kind of space — both physical and mental — where artists, writers, scientists, and innovators can unplug, reflect, and do their most important work.
As a 2021 Hambidge Fellow, I experienced firsthand the power of uninterrupted thought and creative flow. In a setting with minimal distractions, I found myself not only generating new ideas but solving longstanding challenges in ways I hadn’t expected. It wasn’t about outputs — it was about unlocking what’s possible when creativity is given room to breathe.
Every evening, fellows gathered at Lucinda’s Rock House to share meals and ideas — a simple yet powerful ritual that often sparked new collaborations and insights. That kind of environment — one that honors both individual discovery and collective imagination — is exactly what innovation needs to thrive.
Creativity and innovation don’t just happen in the boardroom or lab. They’re cultivated in quiet moments, brave conversations, and bold environments. Hambidge is one of those rare spaces. And at SmartThink, we carry that spirit forward.
For over 80 years, Hambidge has supported visionary individuals and stewarded its land with care. Its legacy continues to grow — just like the ideas that are born there.
